When I am all set for a wonderful day of quilting, my DH comes wandering into my sewing room with plans he's made for me!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!! What am I ever going to do when he retires!!!!!!

Been there, done that!! Make sure that he has something of his own to do before he retires! I insisted that my DH do SOMETHING, and he chose golf.
I married him for better or for worse....not for LUNCH! :lol:

I went in for my physical and was telling the Dr. that I was anxious because my DH was retiring. We have gone to this same Dr. for about 25 yrs. so he knows us both well. Anyway, I told dear Dr. that DH was going to drive me crazy and this is the advice the Dr. gave me: "Find the jobs you hate the most; smile sweetly and ask him to do them". So, when DH retired, I said, "Honey, you know how I hate shopping and I know you like to shop so I was wondering if you would like to take over the grocery shopping". He agreed so quickly that I had to tell him where the suggestion came from. Then he said "what else do you hate to do" and I told him that I didn't like to vacuum the furniture and now he does that too! Try it--it might work for you too!!

He's a keeper! My DH also took over grocery shopping and mowing the grass! I figured I did it all for the first 32 years together....he can do it the next 32!! :lol:
