    Roxanne's Glue Baste It Trick

Can anyone remember which show it was that showed how to close the little bottle of glue so that it didn't dry out? I think it was in series 4 but I can't find it.

And is there an easy way to search the shows for content? I love all the tips and tricks so I guess I should write down where they are for later.

    Thanks!

Was that 309? I can't see without going upstairs and watching the DVD. ops:

And I have asked if there was a way of searching the shows when I was looking for a particular guest and the answer was basically no but you can look through the episode listings.

      Episode 210 with Beth Ferrier?

I took a class with Sharon Schamber (of course like that makes me an expert, ha!), and she said -- put the cap on tightly & store the glue bottle upside down. This works pretty well for me.

If the tiny tip gets plugged, I just poke a tiny pin in there and we're good to go! I love that product!

I can't remember the episode but Alex took the lid off and made sure there wasn't a bubble at the top of the container then she put the lid back on and squooze (sp) the bottle so the glue went up to the tip and then sucked it back into the bottle so that none of the glue was left in the tip. Is that what you were looking for?

Here is a short video by Roxanne showing how to use and care for the bottle of Roxanne's Glue-Baste-It:

If this link doesn't work, I just Googled Roxanne's Glue Baste It and found it.

I use elmer's glue with the pointed nozzle I bought at a local craft store chain. For the opening I bought those rubber tips you get to hold your knitting on the needles when you are not working on it. Then I took a straight pin that has a ball on the end and stuck it inside the rubber tip. I stick the needle into the point on nozzle and push down the rubber tip. Everything keeps flowing. I do store it upside down as I get to the bottom of the bottle of glue.

Ritzy, what happened to me was this: I was storing it with a pin - obviously not stainless steel - and it rusted between uses and got all the glue near the tip orange!

OOPS, I should have said that it has to be stainless steel.
