    One ruler

At various times and I think again repeated with the BOM 09 instructions, it is recommended to use one ruler through the cutting process.

    Do they mean ONE ruler?
    Or
Do they mean rulers from ONE company?

Because when I think about that... sometimes it works better to use the 12" but other times I need my 24". When I'm working on the individual pieces it might be even better to use my 6 1/2" square.

    What do you think?

I am trying to get all my rulers from one company. But you should check even then to make sure that an inch on one ruler is the same as an inch on the other. Of course, having said that, I have never done that ops: !

I'm pretty sure they mean rulers from one company. The major companies are pretty careful to make sure all their rulers match.

        Good!

Most of mine are one company so that is what I hoping they meant!

If I want real accuracy I try and use the same ruler for the whole project so there is no risk of even being a fraction out.

I had not thought about this problelm before. Interesting!
I'm sure glad it was brought to our attention.

I have Creative Grids and Omnigrid rulers and was recently using the longer Omnigrid for cutting strips and my smaller Creative grids one for pieces - that was when I noticed that the measurements are not exactly the same. They are only slightly different but obviously if you want to be accurate it is important. So yes I would agree that the instructions relate to using the same make of ruler.
