    Shipping/packing completed quilt

I'm down to the binding on a customer's quilt. This is the first one I've dealt with that is long-distance and can't be hand-delivered. What is the safest way to pack the completed quilt?

I am considering rolling the quilt and wrapping it in the excess batting that came from the quilt maker. Should I add a layer of bubble wrap or other packing materials in case the box is damaged in some way? Should it be encased in a plastic bag for the journey to protect it from moisture?

I assume I'll be shipping, insured, via UPS.

    All suggestions/comments are appreciated.

When I ship quilts back to customers, I put the quilt and receipt inside a plastic bag. That way, it can come back to me if it needs to. If the box is quite big I will pack batting around the plastic. I don't want it to move inside that box.
