UPDATE ON SON AND QUILT RAFFLE

Well the topper is made with the exception of the border. I found some really cute bug material. It is bright an cheerful and it is going to be a baby quilt or a lap blanket. Big surprise there. Hopefully I will be able to post it so everyone can see it. This is a new computer and not as easy as my old one to download photos. The boy is doing great in math and spanish now. Part of his punishment I sew he conjugates spanish verbs and reviews math problems. His grades in both classes jumped 10 points in just 1 1/2 weeks. Amazing maybe we should do this type of stuff more often. NOT REALLY I like to make quilts at a more leisurely pace. Well thank you everyone for the great advice about what to do. You have no idea how much you helped. God Bless Rachel

    I'm following your example!!

When my son (26) came to me today (Mother's Day in the UK), and asked if I could sort out a bust seam on his favourite shirt, I smiled sweetly and sent him into the kitchen. He washed the dishes and cleaned the kitchen whilst I sorted out his favourite shirt.

Thank you sooooo much for posting your story just at the right time for me to follow it.

Thanks everybody! I'm very lucky (and my two sons groan about it, but smiling) because of being German and living in the UK, I get the English Mother's Day in March and the German one in May. Years ago when my younger lad was complaining that it's not fair to have two Mother's Days, and that there are no Son's Day, I gave him a long look and reminded him that it's Son's Day every day of the year.

LOL. That is what my parents used to tell us when we complained of no kids' day.

I didn't realize it was Mother's day there hope you are all spoiled. Here my hubby and I just had the chance to celebrate valentines day. His work schedule and everything breaking in our house during the month of Febuary kind of post poned it. So we went out for lunch then he asked if I would like some stuff from our local craft store. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I had gone there lastnight and overspent. So I asked if we could go to the bigger one in the city next week. "Sure NO PROBLEM". Boy I sure do love that man.

I took in two baby/lap quilts yesterday. Of corse I forgot to take photos and sign them. I will have my son do that tomarrow. I had a brain dead moment. Anyway I told them they could take their pick. It took them almost an hour to decide. Finally two girls walked in and both said oh I want that one. They pointed to one that I had done about 6 months ago but forgot about. It only needed a boarder. So that is the one they picked. All that panick for nothing. What can I say I will try to post the photos as soon as I figure out how. Thank you everyone who gave me advice. Lots of love Rachel
