I'm still hoping for my dd to get the quilting bug and I've told my ds he "has to marry a quilter"!!
I've already given my daughter instructions to call my quilt guild. Only they will know how much my stash means to me. I know I will never have all my projects finished...I can only dream!
    Happy Quilting,

Jbtaz, I love looking at your Cody. He is beautiful! I can see you have a love affair with him.

Your quilts are lovely also. But right now, at this moment, I was drawn to the pic of Cody.

Lynn, thank you for the kind comments about Cody. He is 6 years old and still a great big puppy. When he is happy to see you, his whole body wiggles, not just his tail. He is a good dog, very loving and loyal. Another member, PamelaW, has a carbon copy of Cody.

My DH is savy enough to know what to do. He will probably just call on someone in my quilting guild to pack the stuff up and take it . My guild has an annual auction and that would be a good way to enrich the guild. I hope I have enough time to help in the decision process.

If there's no fabric or dogs in heaven, I'm not going (presumptuous of me, however, to presume I'm going up and not down!). I heard of a quilter who died and left her things to her guild, and the members bought them all and are using the money to bring in a well-known quilt teacher in her memory (now that's a sizable stash).

I know I am late on this subject but almost 2 years ago my DH and I had this same talk. He had to do most of the house work for along time. RUDE AWAKENING FOR HIM. So he said he was going to toss some of my stuff it was JUNK! So I went down in the basement and out in the garage and filled about 9 totes.I took all of his old car magazines (which are just as precious as the bible to him) and put the in garbage bags. He came home and blew his top. Those were HIS and HOW DARE I? Well I told him you leave my things alone and I will leave his alone. If anything happens to me my sister will be here to get my craft stuff. If anything happens to him, we have 2 boys who will get it. Problem solved. In the mean time if tosses anything out of mine I was going to take money from his paycheck and go buy 3 of whatever it was that he tossed.

911 Kitchen--I told my husband what you had written and he said it was a guy thing and that he was probably just trying to make more room for you. I told him--that's stupid and if any guy wants to help his wife have more room for her quilting supplies--and he cut in and said--I know build her a new room. See they can be smart when they want to! LOL

Ritzy to true some times the needle is threaded after all. We are hoping to add on to our home this year by the way and DH did ask if I wanted a hot tub or a sewing room. I have to admit that is a toss up. So I told him a sewing room with a hot tub. I figure that the hot tub when covered would make the perfect place to layout a quilt to be basted. See this way I can have it all. He is trying to figure out a loophole. I told him it was a win win situation. He could sit in the hot tub relax read his car mag. and I could sew and then join him and read my quilt mag. He just rolled his eyes. I don't think that is the way he pictured things. He told me that the hamster turning the wheel was drunk. I thought it was a great idea. :P

When we did our wills last year, I named someone (my mother, who is likely to outlive me, but if she doesn't I'll change it) to disperse my quilting stuff. I also named the four people who were to receive first right of refusal. It never occurred to me to name one of my quilt guilds, but I'm sure my mother would think of it.
