Pendant Thread Cutter is my best gadget yet!

I have gone through 9 bobbins so far (Aurora 440QE) working on my queen-sized quilt, and every time I had to cut the threads, I was a bit nervous about missing and cutting the backing. When I recently purchased a pair of those gripper gloves, which now make fluffing and stuffing so easy, I saw this pendant and on impulse decided to try it.

I love my new pendant thread cutter. I don't have it on a "neck rope" yet, but it is easy to grab and use. The flat, round "wheel" has recessed blades that can't cut your fingers or the fabric, so after using it for two sessions, I found I was able to just reach (blindly!) underneath and cut the threads without having to lift the whole works. It has speeded things up for me and is now in my "sewing computer's" toolbox.

 The only problem is that the cut threads do stick to the gripper gloves! ops: I haven't gotten around to putting up a piece of tape yet.

I have one of these that I carry on the airplane with me for doing handwork. It's great for handquilting or cross stitch. The one I have is even big enough to cut yarn. It works great and breezes right through security. Great gadgets!

I have one on a long red ribbon so I can find it, I've misplaced several somewhere in my sewing stuff. :? Also I have the needle threader pendant made by Clover. That's a handy gadget to have too.

I have been using my thread cutter that is made by Madeira and looks like a yellow daisy for hand work on trips. Recently I started wearing it at the machine and thought I'd mention how helpful this is for anyone with arthritis or other hand issues. I don't have to pick up, and squeeze them and then put them down like my snippers. It's a small thing but it does remove a repeated trial for me so I thought maybe someone else could benefit from the tip too.
