I'm doing the Rainbow Jane with Twiddletails Eileen. Are you also doing it with a shop?

No, JoJo got the ball rolling here and I just sort of fell in with the plans. I quilt for others so it's not easy finding the time to sit and do this.

I told you girls you were giving me incentive to finish DJ and I just finished all the borders -- woo hoo! I just need to do the corners and I am done!! It is bittersweet, we had snow last weekend and I was able to get a lot of those triangles completed.

Looking forward to seeing the progress on all of the new DJ'ers in the group.

I just signed up with Quilt University to do the Dear Jane class. Problem, don't know if it is yet, that she is doing the blocks in 4" instead of 4.5
I'll see how it goes, class starts in a few weeks....

Well it is finished. I really can't believe it. Yesterday, I added all the borders to the body of the DJ quilt and I am very happy with it. It did take 1 1/2 years and now to quilt it. Which may take the same amount of time. LOL I feel very satisfied about this project.

Congrats Sharon! Can't wait to see a photo. Hope you'll post one.

I had a retreat this month and made several blocks. I think I'm up to about 35 now. I have several about half done as well, they need bits hand appliqued on.

I'm glad I won't be the only one for whom this project takes years! But don't you feel so much satisfaction getting it done when it's taken so long!?

Congrats again! It's bound to be one of your "master piece" quilts.

I've made about 30 so far. I never intended to make the whole quilt, but am enjoying the little blocks so much, I'm not sure when I'll stop! I'll keep going as long as it's fun! I am hand piecing, as I suppose jane did, but she probably did not have the advantage of freezer paper, which is my favorite tool!

Congratulations on finishing your DJ Sharon My fabric arrived this week and I've 1/2 made the first block. I would have had more done but it's been a busy week and I'm also trying to finish a cardigan that I'm knitting.

I hope you haven't been stung for the extra's WW!! I just had two parcels arrive from US and the duty on them I expected, it was the handling charge by the carrier that was the stinger!!!

I see Quilters Haven are doing a mini block next year. Not quite a Jane but 4" blocks. I'm in two minds as I have others of their BOMs going but it's very tempting and from England! No postage surprises.

Not this time Amoret thank goodness - I was stung a few weeks ago on a parcel...the VAT I don't mind so much, it's the Royal Mail handling fee that really hurts. The VAT on that particular parcel was just over £3 and the handling fee was £8  I've not seen the Quilter's Haven website - I shall go and Google it right now

I'm hand piecing mine so I can sit downstairs with hubby. It's been very enjoyable so far.
