Ann, congratulations on your quilts going to Houston. How exciting.
So many other TQS quilts are going there too. They must have a party when they meet.

I just finished registering my 5th AAQI quilt. This one is soy milk andwater color painted. I learned the technique in a class with Jaunita Yeager and it reawakened my love for art from wayt back when I was in Jr. High. I will be doing more painting and hopefully get better each time. I used a Ricky Tims hand dyed fabric for the binding. I then free motion quilted the quilt. Looking forward to seeing the AAQI quilts in Houston and maybe I will even buy one.

Your painting says a lot about Alzheimer's. Bet it will speak to many people. Nice job. Clara

I just checked the AAQI website and three more of my quilts are going to Houston. They are 10136 - Fractured Fern (Which is dedicated to my best girl friend's mom Fern who lived with Alzheimer's in a fractured way for many years), 10137 - Thoughts Circling in Chaos and 10138 - Thoughts Circling Around Chaos. These were ones I did using a Ricky Tims Caveman quilting style cutting and then pieced together and embellished. I am pumped. Six quilts at Houston in one year. Well, Ami was the only judge but still, it is an acheivement for me. Hope my quilts and any other TQS quilts have a great party at Houston since I can not join them. Party ON!!!!!! Hugs, Ann

Ann, what a joy to hear that more of your AAQI jewels are going to Houston. I am so happy for you and touched by the fact the quilt you made to honor your best friend's mother, Fern, is also on its way to Houston. Congratulations!
