I finished one of the panels with the dye pens. I have 7 more to go in this series. Had to snitch hubby's computer to download this. WIll post in-process photos when I get home. Clara

In progress here we go. I just took one panel, outlined my drawing with black and then played with colors.

I used Fabrico markers which will need to be heat set when done.

I am amazed that you can do such work in the car! I'd love to own one of your pieces, but I wasn't quick enough at the sales.

We are home again!!! The only time it got tricky was when the road got bumpy like on bridges or just badly repaired (or needing it) roads or when hubby was annoyed at traffic and started to zip around it. We got to an understanding and he would give me a heads up when zipping at least. I have a cutting board that I bought for classes so long ago. One side is a cutting board and the other a soft ironing board. I iron the board every so often because the markers will eventually bleed through. It's just the right size for taking around with you and resting on your lap while the other end rests on the dash. One of the last things I do is go over the drawn lines with a thicker black marker and it hides any oopsies or I just blend them in just a bit more. The more detailed line work I don't do in the car.

Rosemary, she has 3 of my quilts up for sale right now. Not auction, but at a set price. I'm hoping these will be destined for Houston. Hey, then I can say I have 8 quilts that have been accepted in Houston. Tee Hee. Clara

Clara, those are beautiful! Thanks for sharing your process! I couldn't do that in the car both because I get carsick and I'm not married so I have to do my own driving. I'm sure these will get to Houston and will do well!
