I don't even know how to word this. Keep in mind, it has been a very tough day for me and it will only get worse for a little while.
I need someone to watch this thread for a week. Be there and be supportive. Us quilters like to do this.
Now for the reason why. As I pause, because I need a towel very bad. My husband and I have been raising my nephew for many years now. He came to us with out-of-control behavior issues and a history that is horrible. (really don't want to go into that right now.) He was welcomed and loved as one of our own. We have done so much to reach out to him and so many therapy programs to help him. We have set up a huge supportive web of families and friends for him and us to get him through this. We know in our hearts we did everything, but it wasn't enough. I got news today that he killed himself this afternoon. He was 18 and had so much potential and was loved by so many. Clara, I don't know what to say. Make sure you ask for all the help you need. This is a good start. According to info now listed under ALEX & RICKY we are now over 100,000 registered members. That ought to be enough of us to watch over this thread. I know it will be very crazy for a while. In a little while you'll know more about what you need to heal. Make sure to ask.
