Beautiful flowers! Thanks for posting! The weather has been incredible here and the snow is continuing to melt at my house. Probably still a couple of months before the wildflowers start to show themselves, so your flowers are really inspiring! Spring is in the air!!

My first AAQI quilt is finished. Here's a picture:

I'm going to wait until my friends and I have more quilts before registering it and sending it in.

I do have a question, though. Are we supposed to put label information on the backs of these quilts? The corner triangle hanging instructions talk about writing information like creator, date, and quilt name on the triangles, but it sounded like that was more part of the general hanging triangle instructions rather than the AAQI instructions. Do we put label information on the back? If so, what information is desired?

        Thanks!

        Nancy

When I registered mine. They sent me an email with this info for labels.

I wrote my name and quilt name on one of the corners and used the other for the registration number.

I made a paper tag also and pinned it to the back, encouraging the new owner to send me an email and let me know where the new home of my quilt was. I included my email address.

          1. Label Your Quilt
Please ink, embroider, or photo-transfer the number (in red, above) assigned to this quilt on the back of the quilt in the lower right hand corner in letters at least 1/2" high. Also write YOUR NAME and the NAME OF YOUR QUILT (and city/state if you have room) on the back of your quilt. Do NOT use stickers, tape, or pin paper or fabric with this information to your quilt. INK, STITCH, or FUSE, only. Here is a great example: http://www.alzquilts.org/back.html

A message to the buyer may be safety pinned it to the back of the quilt as long as the pin does not show from the front. (Some people like to know where their quilts wind up and you can ask the buyer to contact you.)

          Check out this example. http://www.alzquilts.org/back.html

          Hope this helps. Clara

I always make a little 3"x2" label using Paint Shop Pro. I put all the necessary info on that rather than the fast finish triangles or writing on the backing. Then I fuse it to the back of the quilt.

Thanks, Clara and Diane! That's just what I needed to know. I'll probably fuse on a label, like Diane suggests, since my hanging triangles were made out of a dark fabric and I don't have a silver pen.

Thanks for all of your work getting this going!!

Well I sent in my March AAQI quilt #9718 Puppy Love. This makes 12 months in a row for Quilt-a-month-club. Going to start next quilt and set my goal for another 6 months. I want to do more FMQ in them. They are so tiny but I need to expand my quilt from SID and Stippling. Will try something like circuit board next time.

That is such a cute puppy Aileen. Congratulations on a year's worth of AAQI priority quilts. That's a great achievement.
