Summer Bloom | Winter Wreath Project Overview

Our 2023 Summer Project is Summer Bloom | Winter Wreath- a project where you will
learn how to make a Mariner's Compass quilt, Summer Bloom, or Christmas Tree Skirt, Winter Wreath with Robin Long.

Robin, the designer of Summer Bloom and Winter Wreath, master of the Mariners Compass and owner of Robin Ruth Design will teach you her process for constructing these beautiful quilts using strip-piecing and her specialized Mariners Compass Rulers. Her revolutionary method enables you to make this once tedious block quickly and accurately and put it into practice making your quilt.

The project will be broken into three classes offered over the span of 3 months, with video instruction and a live class offered each month.

    Class Dates:
    July 10 @ 1 PM ET, 10 AM PT
    August 4 @ 1 PM ET, 10 AM PT
    September 5 @ 1 PM ET, 10 AM PT

Classes can be viewed live on our Facebook & YouTube Channels at the above times, and a recorded version will be made available on our Learn Page after each class has taken place.

Kits, the Summer Bloom | Winter Wreath pattern (makes both projects!) and the Fat Robin 16 Point Mariners Compass Book and Ruler Set are available here:

Page 4 of the book. It is a 12" Compass. And watch the Videos posted on the LEARN section for this quilt. Robin actually gives the wrong widths in the first video because her finger moves from the 12" to 14" Compass. Use the measurements for the 12" Compass.
