I titled it Bungle in the Jungle. I made the borders from left over strata.

Barbara, your border is very unique, could you explain how you did it?

      Finished, and learned a lot!

Better late than never! My pieces are pinned to a makeshift design board. I checked a 90degree quadrant and it seems ok. The spacing is better and the Star does form in the center. Now, onto sewing.

OMG Mr. Tims! You were not kidding when you said that the border would probably take longer than the center of this quilt. I think I have worked on it off and on for over 3 weeks! Whew!!! Glad the top is done. Now on to quilting, which I have no confidence in my quilting abilities. I do have 3 of the 4 QS clamshell quilt rulers so will try and do something with them. Thanks Ricky. This was a great class and you are a great teacher. I did have to go back in TQS classes for something on Mitered corners though because I had no idea how to do them.

"Star-Dust in the Strata-Sphere" Now for quilting and perhaps a little embellishment. Thanks Ricky, I LOVE this technique.

Thanks to Ricky Tims for showing us how to make this! I used asian fabrics that I had on hand.

Thanks Rickie for such a wonderful project, and YES the border was harder to come up with than the kaleidoscope. Just finished quilting it and still deciding on a name.

Beautiful. Because you have wider angles in the center, it looks like a rose. Your colors are very peaceful and your block border is a great idea. Wow!

                    Ta-da! All finished

Very pretty! Great idea for a border!

Doing rulerwork quilting on my kaleidoscope quilt. Good opportunity to experiment with designs and practice.

Here is my scrappy Kalaidescope quilt. It has been fun and a challenge. I haven't quilted it yet. For some reason the picture cut off on the left side.

Here is my quilt. Worked perfect just like Ricky said. Danny found a hand made Kaleidoscope button that just matched in the enter.
