              Your borders are amazing!

Finally have the borders done. I made a HUGE mistake in cutting out the border pieces. I cut all the angles at 60 degrees--big mistake--corners are mitered and those are 45 degrees. I know that like I know my own name but still, things happen. I had very little of that corner fabric left so there is much piecing to make it all fit. Once I prepared a template from freezer paper I could see exactly what I should have done. It took hours to fix but all is well now. And I got a blog post out of it so there's that.

If it looks wrong, stop! It probably IS wrong.

I decided to make two. I found myself struggling with the "twisties" several time. Wedgies and butts are next.

                Beautiful!

I'm happy how mine turned out to this point and will now watch the last video for the borders. It's great to being behind so I can watch the progress of others and watching for suggestions and tips. Fun class, now onto the final stage.

Have to wait to get to quilt shop to proceed with border so I played with the scraps. 8”freezer paper square. Cut pieces from the scraps cut away on big one. My strata were bigger than needed so some fabrics don’t even appear in large one. Hardly tell these two came from same strata. I may be addicted to this! More fun than a bed quilt I have cut out that is only half square triangles.
