    Block #5 Analogous - revised

Revised block #5, paying attention to the subtle changes in shading called for in the pattern. Purple/Magenta/Red.

Love the blocks! You have a wonderful, strong deep, and I love the punch of purple!

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post our analogous blocks for Week 5, but I'm putting it here. I went with Golden Yellow - Orange - Blue-Red as my three colors. They are numbers 18, 21, and 24. I believe from Week 4 that we need to evenly space the three choices along the wheel. Hope this is correct! Anyway, lucked out with finding a center fabric that actually had all three of those colors in it, so it felt pretty safe choosing the colors I did.

Lynne, It is the perfect combination of fabrics for an analogous block. Plus the textures in the fabrics from the stripes, dots, and little prints really adds interest. I think you nailed it. HelenW

Thanks Millie! I love what you did with your revised block. Your progression from a good block to an outstanding block was great to see. I wish we could all show more how we're evolving with the information we're absorbing. I think it would help me to know how others are making their color choices. Looking forward to seeing your complementary block(s)!
