I’m not a proficient piecer, basically a quilter wanna-B…. I sew on a Bernina790+, straight stitch needle plate, Aurifil thread and have feet #37D, 57D and 97D. My 1/4” seams are pretty good. I committed myself to Dee Christopher’s. I decided it would encourage me out of my inability to cut and piece. The 1st block, easy enough, half-square triangles and some cut again into quarter squares. Well, that isn’t going so goodTags: None

square technique, where you draw the line and then stitch 1/4 inch on each side of the line. Then cut on the line you drew.
That eliminates matching up and sewing on a bias cut. I will post a couple pictures. Click on the picture to enlarge.
Also, The Quilt Show store sells Star Singles. They make very accurate half square triangles. You sew on the paper lines.
Be sure to order by the finished size you want. If you post pictures of your problems, it is easier to come up with ideas to
fix the problem. HelenW
PS I wish I had a Bernina 790+. What a wonderful tool you have to do your quilting. No more tools needed in that category.
