      I like to be able to stand up straight to work at my work table, and since it is really a dining table for sitting at, it was too low before. And a work table that gives you backache is no use to man nor beast.

        Lorchen, I also stay after school but use 2 cafeteria tables together which work great.

          I also use the raisers on my cutting table. They were recently available in one of dollar stores in Aus.. Allowed me to go from a small cutting table at the right height to a full size one. love it...
          I spray baste on my design wall, so not used for that.

            Get risers at Walmart or almost any department store. They are about $10. for a pack of four. I have Walmart tables and use the risers for cutting and pining. I have limited space and this allows me to put up as many as I need for the task. I always have access to a it down height. Works very well for me.
