Know what you mean Nancy, I itch to stitch in the ditch as well but won't because I'm trying to do things differently. I love your leaves against the brown they are so cheerful.

I can't find my other leaf and bits I think the cat must have run off with them  I stuck my ribbon down for stitching and turned round and she was sat on my quilt with it dangling from her mouth. Cat free to good home

I am liking all that I see. I will be sitting by the window looking for the mailman! What thread did you (Nancy & Margo) use to quilt the silk? Charae, good to know I have a last minute buddy!

Thanks everyone I cut out the letters separatly and then laid them out on a silicone mat so that they were touching and pressed it came out really well.
I'm a bit slow to catch up but I'll get there eventually.

          Hi Lois -

I used Superior SoFine #50 for quilting on the silk. I wanted a light-weight thread and I think that worked well. When I do my wholecloth with this fabric (some years down the road....), I'll probably use a #100 weight silk just because I love the really fine thread.

I had just couched down the twisted yarn with MonoPoly, and just left that in the machine for all of my quilting.

Like Nancy, I would love to play with some silk thread too! Nancy, your grass looks great!!

OK--Something else I learned doing this project: I don't like to follow directions and I am impatient. Hmmmm, bet you already knew that about me. Never mind. I will be posting a picture soon and it will be done.

Love the wonkiness, Wendy and especially the color combos--the orange really pops there contraposed to the purple/fuchsia. I love embroidering French knots too and colonial knots too!
