I am betting that there are many quilters, or should I say piecers, who could top that. I am thinking as more and more people become comfortable with FMQ, and see what great work many long armers can do for hire more and more of them are going to get quilted. I hope so.

Marilynn, what is it that is motivating you to tackle your UFO's now?

Depending on what isn't in the picture, I can beat that. ops: According to my UFO list (yes, I did put them all into a list a while ago so I could look through the list if I know I want to work on something but am not sure what), I have the following:

                  - 1 quilt finished except for the label. The is a graduation quilt so I have to find out the graduation date before putting on the label. Should be finished and gifted this Dec if all goes well this semester.
                  - 3 quilts partially quilted (1 is an Alzheimer's quilt that I put together and started quilting just last night)
                  - 10 quilt tops finished, waiting to be basted and quilted
                  - 25 quilts being pieced

I may have missed some since I haven't been good about keeping this list up-to-date (like I just now remembered to add what was started in Long Beach), but it should be close. My interests flitter from project to project, so it really doesn't bother me to have a bunch of UFOs. I get really excited when I go back to each project.

That's a lot of quilts to piece! I'm a member of the UFO Club too. That's why I keep telling myself no more starts until I get more finished. Mine are mostly tops waiting to be quilted. I don't count the ones that need labels. I've only paid to have 4 quilted this year. I'm going to have to do a lot better than that to ever get them finished. I too enjoy the piecing more than the quilting.

Well, I have decided that I need to get more done than I am but to do that I need to not get interested in any more big quilts. I need to stick to little quilts and finish the ones I have. I will also say that I have NO comparison to your impressive UFO stack, Marilyn.

                      Comment

Marilyn, that is a mighty fine lookin' pile of quilts. And don't think I haven't notices the ribbons hanging on the wall beside them. For me it's more the pile of half-botched quilts that I really don't know what to do with. I've only got about 6 or 8 quilts that will eventually get finished. I have done nothing else but make spool blocks for the past few days - about 50 done and only 32 to go! :?

Rita, Thanks for being an extra pair of eyes for me. Maybe I need that surgery.

Marilynn, congratulations on all those ribbons. Maybe there will be a few more attatched to some of those UFO's in the future. Way to go!
