How to Accurately Transfer Quilting Design from Books?

Hi, everyone,

Is there a way to accurately transfer quilting design from books? What kind of tools/supplies/methods should I use? Any suggestion?

Do you mean the quilting designs for machine quilting? I have traced them, once in a while, on a special paper that comes on a roll that is especially formulated for tracing designs and then you stitch on your traced lines. I feel like an idiot because I can't remember what it's called. I'm sure someone else will respond and bail me out. Gloria

Thanks for the tips. I am going to hand quilt. Can I use the paper too?

I am not a hand quilter but I know that you could trace designs, darken the lines and then use a light box to transfer the design to the quilt top. You wouldn't be able to hand quilt through the paper. Try checking out the area on the forum where they discuss hand quilting. I seem to remember hints and tips in that thread. Gloria
