    Need Help with Border

I am working on a "photo quilt" therefore, I want to make the border like the photo frame, ladder shape on 4 sides. Anyone knows how to do it? Or is there any book I can refer to? Thanks.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the "ladder shape" on the sides...do you want to miter the corners?

Yes, something like that, just I am not doing biding. I wish I could insert an image here to show you.

I do not know how to sew that on to my block.

Do you mean the black and white spots on the edge that look like a roll of film? I have seen that sewn before but didn't know for sure if that is what you are talking about.

eh..I am not sure what is black and white thing you mentioned. I am trying to add a border to one block so that the block looked like "Framed," like framed oil paint.

Yes, I meant to miter the corners. Sorry I didn't know how it calls until now I am watching show 301. I wish Ricky had showed how to miter the corners. Do you know where I can see a video about how?

Carla, thanks so much for the links! I am all clear now! Someone told me to do it by making the "frame" first and then sew the "frame" to the block. I had so much trouble to do it. Sharon demonstrates a really good method to do it. I will follow her method!

Who is she? She has so many so many good videos. She seems really famous!
