Auggh, Got tangle of thread on the back of my quilt

Apparently my tension is off. Do I weaken the top tension? I don't believe my Baby Lock Esante ESE2 has a tension adjustment on the bobbin. The top surface is okay. Thanks, Jan

you would tighten the top thread. What threads are you using? I had a problem with metallic on top and all purpose on bottom changed tension, needle, throat plate, and still had a problem. once i changed my bobbin to Bottom line and tightened the top a little, it worked fine. It is pretty much trial and error. Keep track of what you are doing for future use.

I had monopoly on top and a special bobbin thread in the bottom but it wasn't the bottom line. A few weels ago I had a thread tangle that I pulled on and I had to have the parts of my machine that I stretched out fixed, to the tune of 80$. Not long ago I had my tension system fixed. This is an embroidery machine so maybe it won't quilt well.

Better call the sewing machine place.

It seems the monopoly has some stretch in it. LOL Jan

My repair shop found that my bobbin case was damaged by the tangle up. It was a cheap fix. They are so great. Jan
