Some of the higher end Berninas now have dual feeds also. They are wonderful. I use mine on my 830 LE a LOT. I first was introduced to it years ago when my mom got her Pfaff. Her Pfaff and I never got along except the dual feed part. It seemed to know it wasn't her driving.

Margo, I love your help on paper piecing. I am about to embark on making a Storm at Sea art quilt where just part of it is actually pieced storm at sea blocks. It is for competition, so I really HAVE to get those blocks pieced right and I plan on using your methods and make templates for that. You wouldn't like to do a video on paper piecing a storm at sea block would you. hmmm?   :lol:Originally posted by MargoBy using templates there can be much less waste, and you can control the grain of the fabric. For instance in the units we are making for month 1, using templates either for paper piecing or using the templates as instructed with the Striplate Piecing method in the pattern, we are able to assure that the outside edges of all the units have straight of grain fabric instead of bias edges.
It just makes a more stable unit.

Jilly, Please excuse me as I chuckle at your mishap...I, too, hope you are properly "lit up" now.   BTW, it is really HARD to keep up with all that's being said on some of these forum topics now. Have you noticed that?

If you see her, send her my way. My studio is not in bad order, but every now and then I go on a hunt for something and find things I totally forgot I had...some are really neat too. :lol:Originally posted by lorraI must have at least 5 seams rippers, but for now I can only find one. Luckily it is my Havel. I really like it. I received one of the new ones at MQS, but have not seen it since. Now, I don't know if it is partying in the basement with the others, or if it liked Wichita so much it decided to live there. I am waiting for the sewing room fairies to come clean the room and discover where that party is so I can retrieve all my lost treasures.

Well after finally getting around to seeing about fixing my light I have just spoken to Bernina Dealer and he said that you can’t change the light yourself, they have to pull the machine open as the LED light winds its way inside the machine.Originally posted by PatchworkjillTools.........well the other week while cleaning my machine and rushing doing it the small paint brush I was using jumped backwards, all by itself of course, and the other end which is wooden has hit and broken the square light on the machine, the paint brush is terribly
ops:
ops:
ops: by this and now resides all by itself in the back of the draw, and of course these days the lights are not just globes so I have to drive 1 1/2 hours to buy a new one AND have been told its best replaced by the machine technician. AND then my husband on hearing the commotion in my sewing room made the very helpful and soothing comment "what were you doing to break it, weren’t you been careful"    I said .........................
He also very helpfully said that he has no idea how I could have broken the light as it’s not that easy to do and what was I doing.........I was very polite and explained HOW I DID IT and then he said well you need to be more careful and look after your machine........this is to a person who had a 35 year old Bernina with one tiny scratch on it.........I remained very polite.........then hung up and took it out on my husband OF COURSE.........

Jill, I really feel for you. I absolutely hate when people act like that, when I have so many bad feeling about myself doing something wrong. It's not necessary to get those comments from others. Forgive yourself and get happy again. I hope it's fixed soon.
