    Favorite Needles

I'd like to know which needles and sizes do you like for Baltimore Album style applique?
    I plan to do needleturned.
    Thanks!

My favorite needle is the Colonial Super Glide Applique Needle, Size 11. Stock #CBSG10011. My friend introduced me to them. We bought them at out LQS until the shop closed (the owner retired). We now order them on line from www.colonialneedle.com. They have sizes 9, 10, and 11. I really like the fineness of the 11. Hope this helps.

I like the John James needles. I use the sharps and the milliners, depending on what I'm doing. I use both size 10 and 11.

I like Tulip needles--applique size 10. They are pricey and a challenge to thread; but, last well and glide through the fabric great. For me, it is worth the extra money to buy them.

Has anyone here used the Clover black needles?

I use Clover Golden Eye no 8. Do not perform a great deal of hand stitching because of physical handicapped. But I find the Clovers are the most durable for my projects.

can you thread them with the plastic threader on the market?

The Clovers i have no you can not use a standard needle threader. Very small and fine. Great for silk and ultra fine cotton thread which I mostly use.

I have a little issue threading but i use a 8x magnifier LED light on stand while sewing. So I can see the openjng and fine threads
