    Nancy Prince workshop

My local guild is having Nancy Prince speak next month & an all day workshop the day after the meeting. I've paid for my class! Has anyone taken a class from her? I saw her here on an episode. I'm not an art quilter, but a few years ago someone, maybe a guild member, said if you ever get a chance to take a class from a nationally known quilt teacher, do it! There's a reason they are nationally known.

          Ooo, you lucky girl, Carol.

I would love to do one of her classes. I bought one of her small introduction to thread painting kits after I watched her TQS show, but it still sits in my 'to do' pile.

I know the price of the class includes her cd. That will be helpful. LOL Looking forward to it.

Really enjoyed today's workshop & learned lots! I'm not used to using stabilzers. I don't even machine applique. But when my guild has a national teacher come, I try to make the workshop. A smart person told me once they became nationally known teachers for a reason. So even if I don't think I'd use their specialty, I know I'll learn something. Here's a picture of my tree.

That looks great Carol, and probably the first of many. I really enjoyed Nancy Prince's classes here on TQS and learned so much.

Great job! Can't wait to see it in a finished project!! Although, if you're like me, then that could be years from now.....

Hi Carol - Really like your tree too, I can imagine it as the focal point in a landscape quilt!

Thanks ladies! I had a great time in class. I am hoping to put a border on this tree work and quilt it and finish it as a small hanging.

At this time, I won't be investing in a bunch of stabilizer, I have too many tops waiting to be quilted. LOL But I can see it is addicting!
