January/February Classes in Northern Colorado - UPDATE

I called Sweetheart Quilt Shoppe this morning for updated numbers and TWO of the classes are definite GO! Both Thursday classes have exceeded the minimum attendance requirements (Layers and Abstracting the Landscape.)

However, the Landscape class on Wednesdays (beginning January 11th) needs 3 more participants for this class to happen. I would have signed up for this one too, but I know that Melody gives us HOMEWORK and it would be too much for me. Enjoy your holidays, but remember to sign up for the class. Melody is a wonderful teacher.

    Cheers!

    Diane

Starting in January, Melody Randol will resume classes at the Sweetheart Quilt Shoppe in Loveland. Yea! I don't have to drive to another county (city even) to take an art quilt class...

    The classes are...

Working in Layers -- this class is a "go" --I am taking this one!
    Thursdays, Jan 12, 26, Feb 9 & 23 10:30—1
Unlock the secrets of using layers in wall quilts. You’ll work with everything from paints to sheers, learn to create complex original work, and complete at least one project during the workshop.

Not So Exact—Abstracting the Landscape -- this class needs one more participant
    Thursdays, Jan 12, 26, Feb 9 & 23 1:30—4
Working from your own photos, you will create an abstract work featuring Mother Nature. Learn to capture the essence of your subject and work in a more spontaneous fashion.

Melody’s Landscape Technique -- this class needs more participants to enroll
    Wednesdays, Jan 11, 18 & 25 11—1:30
Create your own impressionistic landscape art quilt and learn step-by-step exactly how Melody works. Results are spectacular and the technique is one you’ll use again and again.

The quilt shop has the detailed information on the classes, including the costs. An additional workshop will be offered in March. I will post information later.
