    Stable Stuff

Should I buy Stable Stuff by the yard or in the sheets? I have not used it.

How are you going to use it? How much do you think you will need?

I have both ... I use the large sheets of STABLE STUFF for big projects ..... the small sheets to go thru a printer and are used for small projects.

I will be trying it for the BOM.

How will you be using it in the BOM? If you are using it as a base for turned edge applique, I'd probably get the sheets so you can print the shapes directly on them. If you are using it as a stabilizer under things while embroidering on the appliques, then the yardage might be better if you are doing a large area. I'm not doing this BOM so don't know if there are other places where you could use the product.

Personally, I find that the yardage is more economical than the sheets unless I know that I will be printing the designs, in which case I can always cut as many 8-1/2" x 11" sheets as I need for that project.

And remember that you don't have to cut them into 8 1/2" x 11" blanks either! if you want to print on a smaller size piece of paper/stable stuff (to be economic), just go and check out the size properties of your printer and change it, you should be able to go right down to 6" x 4" and several sizes in between as well as 'user defined'. Sometimes I just run a smaller sheet of paper through and not even bother to tell the printer and it comes out fine.
