Susan: Just for one set of 4, I spend about 2 hours (once everything was printed, ironed and cut). I guess that for the rest, once I start chain piecing, somewhere between 8-10 hours will be sufficient.
I SHOULD GET BACK ON THIS THIS WEEKEND!!!!

OK...I just got this message back from Irene:
Please tell her to refer to photos 1 and 3 to see where the grain line goes on the template 3-A. Template 3-B appears in photos 6 and 7, although it's not quite as critical for that one because there's only one way it really fits.

I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Margo for the paper-piecing tutorial wisdom. I used the striplate methods for Months 1 and 2 because I wanted to learn everything in front of me. After using the paper-piecing for the Month 3 Arcs, I am now an avid endorser of this method. It is thrilling beyond words to stack up the completed arcs and see that they are all the exact same size and shape.
Month 3 is completed, and I am eagerly waiting for Month 4.

So glad to help Barb! I also like to try new methods. You never know when you will learn something that works better for you than what you have been doing!!
It looks like Month 3 is the last of the elements that can be paper pieced for this project.

BUSTED! ops: ops:
Yes...I do, in fact now have Month 4 and can tell you that you will be needing supplies for applique. Sue Nickels and Pat Holly's directions are for fusible applique secured with a buttonhole stitch. I really like the way they trim away the excess fusible so the pieces don't get stiff!
You have two whole weeks to finish up the arcs!
