I'm kinda confused & need help already
the directions look like they show sewing groups of six sashes together... three of each color but then below in the directions it looks like only two are sewn together (one orange & one turq) with the template ready to cut into segments. I wish there was a video. Please help! I'm not a newby so why am I so confused?

I think you might want to just sew one orange strip to one turquoise strip and try the technique before you sew it all up.
I did a whole set before I realized that I would rather paper piece these blocks and I had to unsew all of my strips.
That left me with very scant pieces for my paper piecing.
When I cut the rest of my strips, I cut them 3" wide x WOF (not on an angle) and used my template to to try to conserve fabric.

I'm very frustrated with the directions for the sashing. I have all the strips sewn together into strip sets and cannot get 30 sets from my strips, only 25. I've tried marking with a ruler at an angle and measuring the width of the 1-A template, but I just can't measure that accurately and am really stumped with the angles. I've done Marsha McCloskey's bias strip half square triangles and thought this would be similar but it is not. I bought the kit so I only have this fabric to work with. Is there any way to salvage this or do I need to buy more fabric and start again?Comment

Beth, ARJJ is aware that there is an issue with the yardage in the kits and they are working to resolve it. Please stay tuned for more information.
Since you bought the kit, they are going to make it right for you and you will not be required to purchase more fabric.

In the directions for the sahing the strip between the two units is called "gold frond". I purchased the kit, and in the key for the fabrics, I don't see gold listed. Is this the yellow/orage leaves(ESSE 4630)?

I, too, can't seen to get 30 sets out of the material. Will you be sending everyone that bought the kits the material needed?

I ordered the kit and checked to make sure I had the correct amount for each fabric listed in the requirements. I want to start paper piecing the sashing, but I'm confused how much of the Turquoise and Orange fabric I need for the quilt. It seems like everyone is running short. If we are going to receive more fabric, will we run into a dye lot problem?Comment

I'm glad to hear that they will be sending us additional fabric. I just started piecing today and came up short. (27 vs. 30 per set). I knew there was a problem when I washed and ironed my fabric and could only salvage 17 1/2" cuts from the turquoise dot.
I came to the blog for the first time and found that I was not the only one! I was considering making a smaller quilt, but I found you all were ahead of me on that one too.

I just received my kit and reading the blog to get the courage to start. I received my kit on 5/5/13 and I am wondering if additional fabric has been included?

Gayle, the first kits that were shipped were skimpy on the fabric yardage, and those customers were sent some additional fabric.Originally posted by glacerda
The more recent shipments have more yardage so you should be fine.
