      Hi everyone --

WOW!!! It's so exciting to see all the BOM-ers winning ribbons! Well... I should not be surprised. The work that you have all done and the creativity that you've put into your work is AWESOME! Keep up the good work -- it's worth it!

Nope - she is an avid reader - and a Minnesota Twins fan - but not a quilter. But..she is the one who keeps me (or tries to keep me) organized! Our Quilt EXPO opened today - and we got word that Terry Atkinson and her husband Kirk will be dropping in Saturday afternoon. Pretty exciting for Blue Earth!
          Best wishes,
          Mike

Has anyone got info about the completed 2008 BOM's going to the Road to California show early 2010? I noticed the deadline to submit quilts for entry is Oct 1st, and I'm not quite done with mine yet, panic time! I remember Alex telling us the lady who runs the show is going to reserve a special area to show these quilts, and haven't heard anything since. Anyone heard?

                Hey Kathy!
The R2C show isn't just for BOMs. For the Daily Blog about the show and the contest rules do a search (last 90 days) on the Daily Blog page for Road to California. It will give you the info you need.

                Hope that helps!

Great quilt Mike! It looks like (other than the 9 patch corner blocks) you finished nearly like Sue's and mine.

I've been amazed at the border creativity of finished quilts! Makes me think outside the box.

                  Congrats on the ribbon!

Woohoo! I finished sewing the binding, label and sleeve on my 2008 TQS BOM quilt a couple nights ago. Not a moment too soon! It was due the next day for a local quilt show. I'll post a picture after I take one at the show. I figured it would be easier while it is hanging there. Yeah!!

I got mine finished, and showed it in the Greater San Antonio Quilt Guild show this weekend. Didn't win a ribbon, didn't expect to, but it was a great learning experience and I'm proud of the results....the picture will be posted either this evening or tomorrow. What a great experience

I posted a picture of my finished quilt on Show & Tell. It was fun to see it hanging at the show here in San Antonio and I was very excited to see the 3rd place ribbon on it!! Woohoo! Thanks to everyone for their motivation over the last year on the 2008 BOM. What a blast!

I also received a ribbon for Best Theme quilt for my Kool Kaleidoscope quilt at the show. (Theme was Kaleidoscopes!) That quilt is posted on Show and Tell where all of the Kaleodoscope quilts are posted.
