Marge and Teri, great blocks! Love your background choice, Marge, as well as your vase. Teri, the blue flowers give it a great look, and like your vase as well!

Just think, we have only TWO more blocks until Christmas!

Terri & Heidi, your blocks are looking great! Heidi, I also noticed that the seasons are changing in Texas! Looking at the background of trees in your BOM photos show that the leaves are turning to fall colors!
OK... gotta get back to making berries, leaves and flowers!(Oh-My!) I'm going to finish this block before the end of the month!!! I think I can, I think I can....

          Blessings,
          Debbie S.

Did someone mention a recipe for cabbage rolls that are layered? I'd love to have that recipe. My grandparents were born in Poland, and my father grew up in the Polish community of Maniunk (sp) in Philadelphia. I was fortunate to make the trip with my Dad the year before he died. It was interesting how people didn't mix. There were two Catholic churces/schools on the same corner. One was the Italian CC while the other was the Polish CC. My grandmother was able to live in there speaking only Polish most of her life.

Thanks Marge, Debbie and Margarita, Debbie we had a few fairly cool nights and mornings, and it's the reason for a "tad" of color, but it's very warm again, we NEVER get true or real fall colors here, it just doesn't get cold enough, so by the end of the year the leaves just turn brown and fall off.

I posted my October BOM this morning on my profile. I'm happy to be finished with the satin stitching on so many small pieces. Only 2 more blocks and we're finished with this amazingly fun project.

I wasn't the one who mentioned cabbage rolls, but I have a recipe I'd be happy to share - just email me. It uses cabbage, pork sausage, and lots of good 'ol sauerkraut! I make it for my SIL who has no family left, but he says this is the closest thing to what his dad used to make.
