Great idea Nan...the crystals. They really make it shine. I've never used them, but one of these days I may. All the blocks are super. Margo...great news about "berries". And another thanks for putting all of our blocks on your web site. I go in frequently to view them all.

I finished my October BOM and have posted it on my profile. I feels so very good to finally be caught up(and have 2 weeks to spare)!!! I believe that the encouragement from all of the members of the forum has really helped get me motivated and back on track, thank you so much!!
Oh-oh, I think I'm losing my mind...I really like the Lily Rosenberry quilt that Sue had designed in the pink and brown color-way...I have been toying with the idea of ordering that quilt pattern and making more berries!!!!!
I'm hooked on berries!
Blessings,
Debbie S.

Hey everyone I just made a discovery on my berries I'm doing on the April block. I'm using a stiff wash away stabilizer to keep the shape while I'm needle turning. I just discovered it goes thru the printer marvelously so I don't have to trace the circles which I do badly. And I know from some of my photoquilts that the ink is not going to bleed most likely as the stabilizer washes away inside the applique.

I find that a circle template is the answer to drawing perfect circles because there are lots of sizes on one template, and to draw larger circles, I use a simple drafting compass. These can both be found at Staples or Office Max and are great tools that will last forever! As many berries or circles as we ever want to draw!!
For huge circles a BEAM COMPASS fits on a ruler or a yardstick and is really useful for big ones! You can see pictures of all these items here:
