Margo, it is AOK to post my information! I am 1115 miles from LaVeta. So at 20mpg and $4 a gallon gas, that would be $223. Of course, that is the cheap side of a quilting road trip. Then there are the stops at all the quilt shops between here and there!

Did I tell you that BRIDGET ROCKS, or what???
Check out this web site!
http://www.photoshopshowcase.com/Vie...54351&AT=3
At the upper right corner there is a "slider". Move that down to zoom in on the map. You can move the map with "click and drag" to get to the area you want to check out.
THANK YOU BRIDGET!

Thank you! And thanks to Margo for sending me her list -- it made it really easy to put together! If you click on a pin, a thumbnail of the member's photo will pop up. If you click on this picture, their screen name will be displayed beneath it. This way you can see who's where! Just click on the little globe to return to the map. Have fun everyone!

Yes! Started snowing on some mountain passes (10,000 feet and higher) on Friday. We have had a ton of rain over the past 3 days (really needed the moisture, so this is a good thing). I can hardly believe that summer is starting to take it's final bows and winter is right around the corner. Where did the time go???? MKOriginally posted by sandytnI don't know if I said it was okay to post whatever about me but it is. Did I see snow in CO yesterday? What fun we are going to have.

Thank you for creating the map Bridget, that is fantastic. As I flipped through the photos I saw all my TQS friends, what a great feeling that is.
My hope is that the producers of TQS will acknowledge our desire to be in La Veta for a BOM convention and help our dreams come true.Lyndhurst, Ohio USA - East Side Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio

Count me in!! Sign me up!! Put me on the map!! I hope the TQS gurus are watching this to see that there really IS this amount of excitement and committment to this idea! Google tells me I'm 1757 miles away, I've certainly never driven that far but that doesn't mean I couldn't or wouldn't! (although flights could be ok too IF we could get dates ASAP to get tickets early enough!) If TQS could have a hand in this they could likely get us a decent group hotel rate, I know they said earlier that show attendees likely have to stay in Pueblo, there just isn't much closer that's big enough and the show guests fill up what's available in LaVeta...
When I first mentioned this to DH he said "sure, we could go, sounds like fun" which kind of took me aback, I didn't think he'd want to join in-- who knows it could be a whole family thing, I'm sure Curious George will want to come, since he says he's going to live in CO. when he grows up-- just like Ricky.
Anyway, if there was a mini-meeting somewhere in the mid-Atlantic I'd do that too... Connie, where in NC are you? my MIL is in NewBern so we get there a few times a year...
