The Night Before Christmas is so tempting but with 3 quilts ready and BOM I'm hesitating. Wonder how long I will hold out. A trip to LeVeta to meet everyong would be awesome. Compared to the world travelers on their site I am a homebody. Nashville is as far west as I have been so a trip to Colorado would be wonderful. Sandy

Start saving your travel money, Sandy, because we are going to hit the road together!! I will drive anywhere, but I still think that a busload from this side of the country would be a HOOT!

OK, if I can get to TN. Can I come too?

Well, my husband is talking about getting an RV this fall (for racing trips), and I've already told him that it's fine as long as I can take it to Colorado! We'll see!

Ok, so where would this bus take off from. I vote to have it start off in... oh I don't know who the furthest of us north is but lets say NY somewhere and have stops along the way to pick people up - say Harrisburg, Pittsburg, somewhere around here 8) , Virginia, Tennasee, etc. Anyway we would just keep adding on until the bus was full and show up on Ricky's doorstep 8)

Do we know how many people are working on the BOM quilt?

Well......it just so happens that I have all that info at my fingertips!
                          I know....imagine your surprise!!
Anyway, according to my map, of the 52 members who have posted January BOMs, the fartherest northeast member is Denise-NH. Duffy and Hanne-Grete might not be able to catch the bus, there are only 11 members west of Colorado, and the rest of us are scattered over the rest of the country. I have no idea how many would seriously consider a bus trip, but we would have to figure out a route and make arrangements for a place to stay in La Veta. There is also the little matter of not being INVITED to descend on Ricky and Justin! I think we would have to check with Ricky's schedule to see what would work for him. I'd hate to go all that way and not be able to see them!
Too bad they haven't yet built that quilter's retreat on their mountain that they talked about in early '07!!!

Count me in, I'm slow but determined! I have the first four blocks started and am over half way through the quilt top that I must have for graduation at the end of May! I just love every bit of this process. Include me in the count...I've already told DH that I'm going to LaVeta!

I'm still working away on the JANUARY block but I'm going to be like the tortoise, slow and steady, cause I really want to go too. It would be so much fun to see everybody and their quilts.

As we get closer to finishing our beautiful quilts I thik we will be able to work out something. It would be sew much fun. A trip to look forward to.
