Our Official Reveal date for the BOM 2011 is the first day of Festival November 4, 2010. We are very excited about the BOM for next year. It combines piecing and applique and looks like a 9 in difficulty but is just a 6-7 according to Sue and Margo. There will be 2 colorways for the kits. The first is the quilt that Sue did and the second is Elly's new fabric line and will be very rich and fun. Margo's quilt is stunning and explains where Pam Kittie hid all of Alex's red fabrics. Here is a peek at some of Elly's new line.

I have some of Ricky's beautiful hand dyed fabrics (one yard each in yellow, green, orange, purple and multi) that I've been waiting years for just the right project. ops: This quilt is perfect and, with all of the BOM support from TQS, I won't be so afraid of cutting into these expensive fabrics for it. Thankfully, I can get started on this project before my fabrics start to dry rot. I love that the 2011 TQS BOM will be both pieced and appliqued, because I really want to learn how to applique better. "Ruffled Roses" is a real beauty.

Ooh Nancy -- those colors are going to be beautiful. I think the 2011 BOM will be my favorite so far.

Uh uh!! Pam Kittie had nothing to do with my scrappy version!! Alex's pretty reds don't include Pepto Bismol pink, and the Go Cutter doesn't do these shapes!!

My completed version is all scrappy stuff from my stash, but I'm going to make a second version with the Beloved fabrics, and can hardly wait to get my hands on 'em!

Margo, you have such a good eye for doing scrappy and making it look really good. Have any family members put dibs on this new quilt yet?

LOL!! Thanks, JoJo! No one has claimed this one, but last Monday I gave my chocolate and pink 2010 Hugs and Kisses to my nephew's fiancé. Her eyes just lit up when she saw that one, so I gave it to her before they left. I don't usually give wedding quilts, 'cause you never know how long they will be together, but they have been dating for 3 years already, and she is a sweet girl. Apparently she has sort of permanently borrowed the one I made for Chris's graduation, so now he can have his own back!! LOL!!

It looks like it is going to be a stunner! I am now even more torn. I still have all my fabrics pulled for the 2009 BOM, and really wanted to wait to start any other BOM until that one was done. (I have about 6 others to finish also.) I think I am going to have to buy the kit and do this BOM. It is just way too tempting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharon, read the first comment on this forum topic. There is a link to Sue's blogspot where there is a picture of next year's BOM!!! Kits will be offered in 2 colorways.

The official unveiling will be in Houston in a couple of weeks.

JoJo, I didn't get the green stripe, but all of the others will be used and a few more for a total of 15 prints! And the fabric feels as wonderful as it looks!!

Oh my goodness, but this fabric is wonderful!!

I want to give you a "head's up" if you are thinking about doing the 2011 BOM. There are several parts of the project that involve paper piecing. If you start saving mis-printed pages from your printer now, you can use the backs of those pages to print out your paper foundations. No need to use new paper when you can easily recycle stuff that you would probably have thrown away. I'm just sayin'.......
