Last month was hard. I was delighted to see this month. More delighted that I could use my studio 180 rulers to make both blocks. Here's my tests to make sure the blocks were the same.Last edited by Pat A.; 03-30-2026, 12:46 PM.

You are correct. Making changes to fabrics used when working with a Kit means you may run out of some specific fabrics down the road. That doesn’t bother me as Solids are easy to add and the Prints kit is so scrappy it isn’t hard to add new fabrics. But if you want to make the quilt exactly as Becky Goldsmith designed it stick with her instructions.Originally posted by bonomo View PostI'm assuming if we bought on of the kits, we run the risk of not having enough fabric if we don't follow Barbara's instructions on each border. I love the idea of the same border all the way around, but am afraid I won't have enough fabric.Barbara Black

Hi Carole, You are going to love what you can do with EQ8 after you get good at it. I have a teacher
that is as passionate about EQ8 as Sue Spargo is about wool applique and beautiful threads.
If you go to On Point Quilter, Kari Schell has years of Saturday newsletters, each with a small project
that she talks you thru. She is a fabulous teacher. She has about 24 months of lessons you can
pay to take, and keep to always go back to to remind you how to do something. She only opens her Tech Know Quilters classes a
couple times a year. It is so much fun. Hope you have a great experience at Paducah. I am
currently taking 6 month of classes from Kari. She makes it doable. Three classes a week, 10
minutes long video and written pdf. There is so much I did not know, that I did not know.

Month 4 finished. Didn't love the triangle placements in the suggested border, so re-drafted the foundation papers to make the triangles smaller, they are now surrounded by the white, plus rotate an even number of degrees anti-clockwise between the first (top) and last triangle. If I did this again I'd make the angles of the triangles steeper so that it was more obvious which way was 'up'.Kathryn N
