After multiple fabric changes and a lot of creating and ripping out, I am pleased with the outcome! Thank you Barbara for all your shared expertise.
The photo is not the best, but the quilt ended up being so large my inspiration board was not enough.

My suggestion: make the four corner blocks from the original fabrics, you can’t be completely out of those. Make the remaining 16 blocks from the replacement fabrics, there is enough for those.
An email about this is coming.

no i do not have enough of the original fabric either

Wow--Finally finished. It was a lot of work --sometimes fun, sometimes frustrating. But I think it turned out really cool. Lynn, thanks for a great design and all the tips. Barbara, always a joy to watch your tutorials.

My center star. I’m thinking of replacing the 4” center block with something lighter.

In getting ready to piece everything together, I didn’t find any instruction for the giant flying geese that make the center star points. Or maybe I just st missed something. Help will be greatly appreciated!

I guess this is technically month 12 and 11 but I dont see a page for month 12. When assembling the quilt top it would have been really helpful to have a diagram that shows which months blocks go where. So many similar blocks from several months and not using the kit so it's very challenging. I'm going to make each of the 9 sections and quilt as I go. I see I have a boo boo already, the center blue 4patch in a star is turned wrong.

I am working on the center star. I also see that I need to do 4 flying geese for the last row of the center block using the teal/blue parchment. Do I use the 8 blocks from block 3? If not I do not see the block 3 ( teal/parchment ) anyplace else in the quilt.

Finished the 20 blocks and center blocks for both the Granddaughter and Grandmother quilts. I can't believe that I'm on target. But now it starts to get tricky sewing the blocks together in the next 2 months since I'm hosting both Thanksgiving and Christmas for my family

Was admiring my finished quilt and what do you know there was a HST facing the wrong way. Here is my fixed quilt with some variations.
Thanks Lynn and Barbara for the tutorials.
Lynn I would love to see your finished quilt to get inspiration from your quilting even though I’m a hand quilter.

I just have to say that the Laurel Ridge quilt was probably the best presentation and pattern direction quilt that I have ever put together. The instructions were very precise and the videos were amazing. Such a good choice for the BoM. I am just about done, I did make a few changes, just to make it my own and I would like to put a border around it, just to make it a bit bigger. Thanks so much to the designer and to Barb for such a delightful quilt.
