Looking for tips for organizing Color My World
I couldn't find a thread referencing staying organized, so I figured I would start one. I think it would be helpful to share ideas and tips for keeping all of this organized. There are lots of parts and pieces I already have a binder set up like what was suggested in the video and a 12x12 scrapbook box, but it isn't big enough to hold it all. Any ideas and suggestions will be very much appreciated.Tags: None

This is not threads, just general organization. Like you, I use Barbara notebook idea with clear protector pages. Since I am mostly taking fabrics from my stash, I make a
swatch chart on a piece of fusible interfacing so I can drag it around, and when I get an opportunity, to get more fabric, even if it is a friends scrap stash, by looking at my
chart I can tell if it will work with what I have. To keep my project contained when I need to get it all out of the way, I use one of those big 16 gallon tote bins that we get
at Costco. To keep my fabrics organized, I put them in 2 1/2 gal. zip Hefty bags that I get at Walmart. The threads would be in a small plastic container or zip lock bag.
Anything and everything goes in the tote if it is not on the work table. That way I can always find it. HelenW

Billie, the two blues are half yards since they are used in the Compass center. The two greens are half yards since they are the trees. Include all four of those in your house building fabrics.

charcoal and cream when she made the sample. If yes, then I would say there is no reason not to use it in the houses. HelenW

I’m using stash & its already beginning to overtake the hall way LOL. I have a binder with page protectors for printed pages & a design wall in guest bedroom just for this beauty.....it’s an exciting project, I love this new way (to me) to paper piece & I’ve redesigned the interior of houses 1 & 2 (I call them renegades) so there’s 24 in my neighborhood so far. Maybe they’ll make it in the quilt or start a new wonderful colorful neighborhood.
