I just printed a test of the foundation from Adobe reader, 100% was a hair too small. I tried 102% and it looks perfect.
Just read the post about cutting the pieces for the outer circle a bit bigger and I think I will do that also. Maybe it's good to be a slow starter, so i can find out what other people are running into!

I love paper piecing so thought I'd give this a try. This block took me about 9 or 10 hours to complete over 3 days...not too bad for a monthly assignment. Hopefully I can hang for the entire project this year

karymlr, your block is beautiful. Next month you will be a bit faster--the process is similar, so this one is the learning curve block.

Kathy, there is always that when others can share that they learned. As long as the curve in the Block Corners is accurate, it does not matter how big you make the outside edge--you can always cut that down later. I only cut the Block corners I needed for Block 1--I didn't see the need to do all that cutting now and have to keep those pieces safe over the whole year.

That is a beautiful block! Thanks for the tip on the backgrounds. I have to buy more fabric as I cut this months colors the wrong size!

I am making two Sizzle Quilts this year. The Cool Kit is used to create the monthly blog I write, available on the first of each month. The Warm quilt uses my own combination of fabrics--it is used for class demos and step-outs. I am teaching this to two monthly classes, with a total of 39 students. We meet for two hours and I show all the steps--they sew at home. They are all Star Members.

Can you see any design differences between my Cool and Warm?

                              Barbara,
The only difference I noticed between the warm and cool design is the warm has the red star point going to the top center and
the the cool has the wedge point going toward the top center. I love the fact you share so much valuable info with the quilting world.
I have never met a quilter that I did not think was a great person! And you are definitely one of them. Thank you. Helen W

                                Hi Barbara,
Yes, I see that you turned the inside circle so that the diamond points are oriented to top/bottom/sides of the background fabric.
Those are lucky folks who live close enough to you to be in your class!
