    Sizzle Kit cool colors

I've started washing my cool colors, by hand, noticing a lot of dye coming out like Irene did with the warm colors. My question is this: the three solids are a coarse weave, I'm not familiar with this fabric. Is it homespun? or a linen-cotton blend? The three fabrics seem so different from the others in weave. Thanks, Kathy

I found out the answer to my question- fabrics in kit are from andover. On the andover website, the three solids are from the kaleidoscope collection by allison glass. On her website, she says the fabrics are essentially shot cottons, with warp and weft being slightly different colors. the fabrics are 100% cotton, no linen content. She has a brochure on line with patterns made from these fabrics, which are quite nice.

Kathy, all your information is correct. The Kaleidoscope cotton solids are beautiful fabrics--I have used them successfully in garments and quilts.

Here is my blogpost about how I washed my Cool kit:

Another comment, for all of you who are reading this thread . You probably already noticed, but the two light gray fabrics are in a separate bag from the rest of them. At first I overlooked the bag but went looking and found it!
