I’d like to make this block of the month in miniature... are all the blocks paperpieced? If so I know it will be easy to downsize them. Thx

Yes, they are 20" paper pieced blocks.

        I'm considering a 1/2 size version.

Love the idea of a miniature Sizzle. Hope you will post your process and pics as you do it. I was also thinking of making
a table runner with 3 of the paper pieced blocks. So many possibilities.

Is there a reference somewhere to which block design corresponds to the number reference??

I am using my own fabric and it will help me to not run out of a color if I can have a reference to which block in the picture is which number. For instance, I now know Block 1. Looking at the picture reference, Block 1, as Becky chose to arrange it, is in the bottom right corner. I guess because we read left to right/top to bottom, I would put Block 1 in the top left. Hope someone understands this question.

            Thanks!

Holly, there is not a list of the numbers of the blocks--let's call it a mystery. And the placement in the Warm quilt is not the same as the placement in the Cool quilt. If you read the General Instructions you see that Blocks 4,8, and 9 have the small circle in the middle--that is the only "clue" given now. As long as you have the total yardage needed, you won't run out--and you can easily substitute--one green that is similar to another green, for example. In my world, the more fabrics, the better.

I will just have to go with the flow when it comes to the numbers.

Now...the following may be in the instructions somewhere on in a video, but I have observed a variation between the Warm & Cool Block 1 (and the full list of fabric in the Introduction file). The Warm quilt includes a "value" description (light, medium, dark etc) for each fabric "#". The Cool quilt does not. That is OK but the paper pattern also has the value for each fabric # and it is the same for both Warm and Cool. So, when looking at the Cool quilt, it is obvious to me that the center of Block 1 should be dark but light is on the foundation.

It is neat that Becky changed up and provides two colorways. I just think, since she is providing separate instructions for both colorways, the Cool quilt foundation should either have the correct value or be removed completely from the foundation.

Thanks, Holly, we are working on this.

For those making the Cool Kit, just follow the cutting instructions and place fabric 1 on fabric 1, etc. I did not look at the value words while making Block 1, I just followed the instructions.

For those making the quilt from their own fabric, simply make your own decisions about which fabrics to place in each position--each person will have a unique take on this.
