Slightly bigger?
Love this design, but I when I am making a quilt this large, I am looking for a way to make it queen-sized. Most of my quilts go to fundraisers and queen size (86x86)is the only size that gets people interested. I was thinking about doing the Appliqué border on all four sides, which will help the length and doing two more strips on either side of the center medallion. Anyone have any other suggestions? Looking forward to working on this!Tags: None

Linda, Edyta mentioned in show 2201 that it would be easy to enlarge this design by adding more rows of blocks. Certainly, adding applique' borders to the top and bottom would give you more length. In the Fall, I'll give some more ideas, with measurements, to make the quilt queen size.

Thanks, Barbara, looking forward to your suggestions in the Fall. Of course, I wil be watching Edyta’s Show this week when I have a moment to sit down. Right now, I am in the starching my fabric stage. I need to be planning for the fabric requirements in the beginning and can’t wait until fall, though I will try to be flexible. At this point I plan to make four of each block and maybe use two color ways for each set of four. My color scheme is blue and green. Lots of blue and green in my stash!
