    Show and Tell

There has been some mention of Sue's Ruffled Roses Quilt in the forum. I shared that I had won BOS and other ribbons for it. Some of you asked to see pictures of my quilt. If you go the Forum and scroll down to the 2011 Ruffled Roses section my pics are at the top of the page. I did not do the quilt when it was going on. I was not a member at the time. I purchased the pattern later ( yes at $90 ) and scoured the internet for the fabric that had been used in one of the colorways. It was hard to do this way because the pattern I purchased showed it in the alternate colorway but I just winged it and I think it was worth it in the end. Hope you enjoy seeing my Finished Quilt!

Thank you for posting your pictures. I have several larger projects in my queue right now but I am very keen to make my own Ruffled Roses. Your quilt is beautiful and I love all curved cross hatching in the quilting.

    Thanks for sharing!

It is finished with 3days to go in2017. It was a journey. I learned so much and especially the use and method of floaters that I know I will use over and over again. It came with some challenges. I redid the curved flying geese so got a bit of practice doing those. I ran out of focus and background fabric and supplemented. It was challenging but fun.

Here's mine.Never thought I'd get it quilted during the holiday chaos, but it went pretty problem-free. So finished in 2017! Yay! Fun project, much enjoyed.

Beautiful color choices, durstgirls and RobertainD. It has been a lot of fun seeing each person's vision for this quilt - all different, but all just lovely!

Congrats, Mlongstreth. It's great! I like the corners. At the rate I'm going, it'll be a while before I finish handquilting my half-size version of the quilt.

So very nice and looks wonderful on the bed. I as well have extra fabric and plan on making some shams. Great idea.

Wow, this quilt looks great on a bed. Your picture has invigorated me, I have just finished the half circles. I agree with quilting parrot: enough flying geese :silly:

I too have enough fabric for pillow shams, I'll use that idea too. So many great things to learn from this Forum collaboration.
