I'm not doing the BOM, but I'll be at Houston. Janet told me she won't be making it to Houston this year. Bummer, because she's a really sweet lady! TQS has a meet-and-greet at their booth every day at 1:00. That would be a good time to meet your other BOMers!

After seeing today's daily blog, I am just sick. Several years ago, I went to Houston and saw the ads for the upcoming red and white quilt show in NYC. My sister and I decided we WOULD go to that because it looked amazing. Then life intervened. We were putting together a quick wedding for our daughter, finances were tight, etc.

From today's daily blog, it looks like they pretty much "recreated" the NYC show in Houston this year. Is that true?? Dang it!!! I wish I would have known about it. I would definitely have gone.

In the newsletter dated today it says 2015 BOM designer is Lynette Anderson.

I too was guessing (hoping) it was Philippa Naylor. I have just bought Philippa's new book "Applique Mastery" and it's one of the best books on applique that I have. She shares so many techniques to achieve perfect applique, there is also information on FMQ, threads, needles and a BOM quilt pattern included. This is one of my best book buys as it is full of easily understandable information on techniques and processes.
I did a Lynette Anderson BOM a couple of years ago "Friends for Xmas".
