Late Starter
Janet~~
I am a late starter!! My kit is on order and I should get it any day now. Question: I am busy until well past September and may not even start A-Z until next year. Is there anything I will need to do right away...check fabric...download patterns...anything else? In case I have questions that may be answered in this forum, will the forum still be available next year?
Thanks so much for your reply,
Teddie (eggsx3)

Hi Teddie and welcome to TQS and the forum!
YES!!! If you want to make the BOM quilt be sure to download all of the patterns BEFORE DECEMBER 31!!!!!
They will NOT BE AVAILABLE after that!! The forum info will be available, and you can post questions later, but usually if any issues come up during the year, you will find solutions to them in the forum posts.
Have fun with it!

Hello,
I am another late starter. I had some other obligations to finish first. I am an old lady and just can't do things as quickly as I used to.
I bought the thread from Superior, and am selecting the fabrics now from my stash. I have a question about the shade of blue for the border. The blue border looks like light turquoise on my computer. Is it a light turquoise? Is it a clear, pale primary blue? How would you describe it?

Hi!
If I can jump in the conversation, I would say that it is a "sky" blue... Looking at the quilt, it is used in several blocks where sky is - background of the House block, in the Mayflower Block, as well as the Tree block. And it also looks like sky on the border... Of course, if you decide to use the same blue throughout these blocks. From my computer, it looks like a very pale turquoise (not too green either).

I have all the BOM patterns downloaded and saved on my computer as well as printed out. I figure I could always lose one or the other before I get around to making them. And so far all the videos are still available for them. I hope they keep that, because besides being good instructions for the BOMs themselves, the videos offer lots of excellent instruction in various techniques. I may never get around to making the BOMs, but I still treasure the videos.

I am a late starter also and I am trying to get my fabrics chosen. I see the fabrics that Janet uses with the SKU numbers but can't find whose fabric she used. I know I won't be able to find all of them but would really like the black for the sashing. Is the fabric Moda? I better get busy...http://stitchesscrapsandtidbits.blogspot.com

look at the list of the fabric you want, copy the SKU number, then do a google search and you will get a list of places to purchase. For instance, Sky Blue, search for "RJR 4758-34 Fabric".
If you want the exact fabrics, I wouldn't wait. Some fabrics only stay on the shelves for 6 months, then it's on to the next group.
