Hello,

I have glued the basket handle down; what is recommended for securing the handle? I'm not sure that a blanket stitch would look good.

I used a blanket stitch and like it. My thread matched the fabric on this part.

Other possibilities are hand applique or invisible machine applique with a narrow zig zag or a hem stitch. Another possibliity is to leave it glued and then tack it down with the qulting. It all depends on the look you like.

I used a small zigzag with matching tread. My half-size was only 1/8" wide, so a blanket stitch was too much...

I hand appliqued it down, but machine stitched the rest of the block.

I think I will try hand-applique as I think the blanket stitch I used for the alphabet is too big. Thank you all. Irene

I top stitched my basket handle with matching thread.

That sounds like a good idea - I haven't hand appliqued yet so I might try the top stitching instead. Thanks. Irene

I too top stitched my basket handle down with matching thread and it looks ok
