A huge thank you to Alex! I had posted a question to Alex's video blog when the pandemic started regarding her method for creating her quilts. I don't think she knows it, but this project was my answer. I wanted to create this piece from fabric I already had on hand. I had one yard of Kaffe in my stash, so I based the color selections for my blocks on that one yard.

Well my quilt top is done. It measures 77 1/2" x 88". It was made for the queen bed in our camper but will be used on our king bed in the house during the winter. I will probably send it out to have it quilted... unless Alex would like to straight line quilt it for me?!? :P Too big for my domestic machine or my abilities! Thank you Alex for giving us such a fun project for our difficult summer. The 3 pictures represent how i spent my covid summer. Home, zoom, and camping!

Finally got my Kaffe mystery as a quilt top. Had fun picking out the blocks that I wanted to make and also using the color wheel to select the fabrics. It was fun selecting the colors and then deciding where the colors would go. I would often go to the computer to design the block and place the colors. Many times changing the positions of the colors to a more pleasing place. Thank you Alex for a wonderful experience and learning. As a retired educator, it is always fun learning!!
