    Quilting Saddle Stool?

    Hello friends -
I'm looking to purchase an Oakworks Professional Rolling Stool w Contoured Saddle Seat for quilting at my domestic machine. Does anyone have any experience with this chair - good or bad? Thanks.
    Best wishes,
    Mike

Hi Mike, I didn't want you to think we were ignoring you. I do not have any experience with this stool (in fact, I had to look it up online to see what you were talking about). It looks like it could have lots of potential as long as you take care sitting down and getting up (that's the kind of thing we more mature adults think about )

Hi Mike. I have one of the stools and I like it. My problem is my longarm height is adjusted for me standing. For me to use the stool I have to have it high too. I have trouble getting on and off the stool. I could lower the longarm, but if I am doing a panto, I like to be able to stand. I may have DH help me to lower the longarm stand a little and see how it works. I do not have a hydraulic adjustment on my longarm.

Thanks, Lorra. I'm planning to use the stool for quilting on my domestic machine, so height should not be an issue.
          Best wishes,
          Mike

              Hello friends -
I did purchase an adjustable saddle stool - and I love using it. I ended up with an Oakworks Professional Stool with high height range. It cost about $170. http://www.oakworks.com/professional-stool-with-saddle-seat-high-height-range.asp It is comfortable, flexible, easy to keep clean - does everything I need it to do!
              Best wishes,
              Mike
