I just thought I would pass this on
"Faultless Iron Cleaner"
Made by the company that makes the spray starch.
In the UK you can get it from http://www.lakeland.com I haven't looked but you can probably get it at other places as well
It comes in a tube and you only need a little bit on a cloth....it cleaned up a gunked up iron, that had been used at a class, like magic.

I will try that the next applique project I do. It was a pain getting the gunk off after doing the Rhapsody quilt.
